Don't Book Expedia

Booked with Expedia for a 2 night hotel stay. As I was leaving for trip, I printed out itinerary and noticed the rate they charged was higher then their web site. Got back from trip and called. The man was rather rude with one comment being "your complaining after you took your trip" in a sarcastic type voice. There were other comments. Then he said I'm going to check every time you've been on our site because we have a tool to do that. I said go ahead and also check your advertised prices. I hung up after listening to background music for 20 min. Everytime I called back, they hung up. It was not a great deal of money that I lost, but it could have been. Never again, they are crooks.

Expedia are not crooks, and the Op has no basis to say so. The comment is unclear, but seems to be the OP booked at room at a price he agreed to.
Later, he checked either the Expedia site or the hotel website and found the room could be rented cheaper. The fact that the OP wanted a reservation to make sure he had the room, does not mean that Expedia was wrong.
Hotel room prices go up and down. In Florida, there are coupons for walk-in rates which are lower than the website, but you may not get a room. When this reservation was made, the room may have been more, but the price went down because the hotel had more vacancies.

Gee, you must work for Expedia. I don't know how much more clear I can be. Once you confirm with Expedia, that is the price you should pay. The price shouldn't go up or down once you have booked.But this is not the case. They charged my credit card more. And I found there are many more complaints like mine posted on other sites. CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS
