Amazon.com Complaint - Isn't Bait & Switch Illegal?
NAPERVILLE -- Never received the correct item!
The day after Christmas I ordered a SimpleTech 250GB SIMPLESHARE OFFICE SERVER ( STI-NAS/250 ) from Amazon.com. The item was shipped by Compusa, according to the emails I received from both Amazon and Compusa.
The item I received was not what I ordered. What I received was a SimpleTech 250GB External Hard Drive USB 2.0
When I contacted the reseller Compusa, they indicated that due to a Amazon.com error, the incorrect item was shipped.
They offered a refund but indicated they were unable
to ship the correct item.
When I contacted Amazon.com, I was told the item was
available from another reseller and that I would be
responsible for the $140 price difference. Surprisingly,
