Since it is Optional could you just call up and cancel it if you do not want to pay for it any more?

When you first noticed the line item in your account statement, did you go in to your bank or call them to ask what it was? We people working in any business in Customer Service can not read your mind, you need to let us know when you have a question or a problem.
And going by the 'optional' in the name, you should be able to contact Bank of America Customer Service department and stop the service.
