Best Buy - Incompetent Help and No Products on Shelf

In my experience, parts like that are better ordered online. I priced a laptop accessory at BB that was 3x the cost as online. Of course, buying locally supports the community, but BB didn't make that possible for you.

Don't waste your time at BB with their over inflated prices and poorly trained employees. 8R nailed this one....order online. Shop Amazon and NewEgg for the best price and easy returns.

Best Buy is going down the tubes, but in their defense, memory modules often are not labeled well, and there are many different types that may look the same. The wrong one would not work, and you would return it expecting a refund, and then they are stuck with an open item that anyone would be leery of buying, even at a reduced price. The model number of your PC might have been more useful in this case. If you go to Crucial's website, they have a free ap that will analyze your PC, and tell you what type of memory you need and what your options are.

I'm sorry, but Best Buy has not defense. Go to Fry's or MicroCenter (here in TX) and you will have no problem buying the right memory.

Best Buy doesn't stock anything in computer parts and their employees only know what's written on the tag or box.
