Expedia Is a Rip Off Company
Casino Room Reservation - Complaint

Booked a room via Expedia, was out of state and wife became ill. Tried to cancel room in Reno until she could travel. I found out that Expedia sub contracts their reservations to another company or a ghost company and the only way to cancel the room was to first book a room on a different day. Wife was too ill to travel so no way to know when she could travel. Tried to talk to Expedia but they transferred me to their 'ghost' and unless I had a computer and inter net access plus was willing to book a room on another day I could not cancel. We were in a hotel 200 miles from Reno and 700 miles from home with no way to know when she could travel. Expedia's telephone representative, in the Philippines, was unable to offer assistance and when I asked for a supervisor he offered to transfer me to Mexico. My first and LAST experience with Expedia!

Yep, they're awful... we had a similar experience with them and an incoming Hurricane. They would NOT budge. Not good.
