HORSHAM, PENNSYLVANIA -- As usual, I received my annual bill for my auto renewal. My policy runs from, Nov. 1st-Nov. 1st. Upon getting my bill, I immediately wrote a check for the full year as I've done "every year" for the last ***38*** years.

Yesterday, I got a refund for $18, which would have been added had I paid my bill in installments. (According to Amica.)Don't know why Amica would *** assume *** I was going to pay in installments since ***I never had before.*** You would think Amica would know better after *** 38*** years.

Not only am I a multi policy holder, they should have notice I *** paid in full !*** Amica.... Wake up ! It's been *** 38 *** years !

I am also an Amica auto insurance policy holder. My policy runs from Dec to Dec, close to yours. When the billing dept sends out your annual renewal you have the OPTION to pay installments or pay it in full. They don't keep records on how you have paid it for the last 38 years. I can well afford to pay it in full but choose to pay in installments. To save a lousy $18 bucks a year is not worth it to me. Rather then let them hold my money for a year I invest it which gives me a far better return than $18.00 savings. Think smart and you will come out ahead.

Just be careful if you ever get in an accident! AMICA tried to screw me big time when I had an accident that was in no way my fault. They are fine until you post a claim. You've been very lucky for all those years. But luck is luck, dont expect it last forever.

My experience with Amica has been the direct opposite. My wife had two not at fault accidents where she was stopped and struck both times. Amica's customer service was extraordinary and rated number one by Consumer Reports. Her second accident where she was rear ended by an unlicensed driver resulted in injury and a three year battle with Allsnakes & Amica. We had a very aggressive lawyer who knew how to play the game. Amica wrote a check for $75K, coverage we paid for on the policy for Under Insured. Amica treated my wife well and I would recommend them.
