Car Toys Complaint - Car Toys Ripoff - Liars - Cheaters - Do Not Believe What They Say!

Review by Lynne Marie on 2005-12-31
LYNNWOOD, WASHINGTON -- I bought a cell phone, signing up for service with T-Mobile from Car Toys in Lynnwood, Washington.

I was told their 1-Year Loss/Theft protection, costing $119.95 +tax, was refundable if not used. I did not use it, I did not get a refund. I called the store and was told it is a store credit. I never would have signed up for that. I have no reason to buy anything from them. I would not want to buy anything from them now or ever, after their dishonest lies.

Yeah, I had a similar experience with my cell company. They lure you in and then stick it to you. I had a phone going bad on me once. Because I had replacement insurance on it, I simply ran over it in the parking lot and got a new one. It was cheaper than having them service the bad one!

Actually, that is insurance fraud. Wireless Insurance doesn't cover intentional damage and that is exactly what you did. But I wouldn't worry to much about it, cause everyone does it. Although that doesn't make it right.

You're possibly right, however, we're talking about cell phone companies, right? I guess there's no honor among thieves.

Very consumer savvy of you Mr. pirate. Couldn't YOU have just "stepped" on it big guy?

I also fell for this, but only 7 years later. Additionally, the rebate ("refund") expires after 90 days, even more unfair.
