RANDOLPH, NEW JERSEY -- Don’t waste your time or money with this florist. While my situation does not involve a wedding, Touch of Elegance screwed up a much simpler order. I can’t imagine what they would have done with a wedding. I have been a customer of ToE for over 20 years…most of which was under the former owners. Since the new owners took over, they have made numerous mistakes and screwed up very simple orders. About a year ago, they sent a basket of half-wilted flowers to my mother, who lives about 1000 miles away from me. Today, I learned that ToE did not deliver a basket of flowers I had ordered for my mom’s 83rd birthday. I called Touch of Elegance and left a message on their voice mail…no response. This morning, I called again and spoke to someone named Rich. He was incredibly rude and shifted the blame on me, stating that they don’t deliver on Sundays. Well, that’s not what the internet confirmation said. I was CONFIRMED for a Sunday, Oct 14th delivery. I told Rich that I was disappointed in this lack of service and he once again shifted the blame on me…I should have known that florists aren’t open on Sunday. He went so far as to say that there are no florists in the world that are open on Sunday. I am 1000 miles away from your store. I ordered the flowers over the internet and was confirmed on your business website for a Sunday delivery. Then, you have the audacity to be rude to me??? Well, Rich, you lost a long-standing customer forever. I’m still waiting from a call from the owner. One would think that a business owner would want to know what happened when a sale is cancelled by an unhappy customer and try to salvage the customer relationship. ..but as a marketing professor, what would I know? Ladies, if you are planning a wedding and are considering Touch of Elegance for your wedding flowers, I would look elsewhere This is a pathetic way to treat customers. Don’t risk having your special day ruined by dealing with Touch of Elegance.
