Good Feet - Bad for Your Pocketbook

Shoe Inserts - Complaint

ALBANY, NEW YORK -- $525 later my feet were worse than when I started wearing these inserts and my pocketbook took a drastic hit. The salesperson overall, was a red flag and instead of listening to my own common sense I listened to my feet. Time flew and went past the return time so I was out of luck and considerably poorer. Do yourselves a favor, Run, Run, Run from Good Feet and pay a professional orthopedic Dr. to determine the way to go. I have, and I'm thankful for the help. Orthodontics may not be the total answer for everyone but spending $525 with a Dr. vs. a salesperson selling you a piece of plastic (sm. med or large)is the better choice.
Company Response:
Customer, We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with your purchase of the Good Feet orthortic system. Customer satisfaction is our number one concern and we would welcome the chance to make you more comfortable. A small percentage of users need to be re-fitted due to the reshaping of the foot with the orthotic system. Please come into the store to rectify the situation and ask for Jim.

Good Feet has worked for some people. Orthotics from that store have a role in some foot care. MD's also have a role in other foot care.
Frustrating experience and expense - but glad your feet feel better

I sincerely hope you meant orthopedics because I am sure that having someone put dental braces on your feet would not help you walk more comfortably whatsoever. And the thought of a foot with pretty smiling teeth is a bit disturbing. :)

@Tezrien, I'm pretty sure they mean orthotics. I've heard some good, and a lot of bad, about Good Feet.

As the OP pointed out, you can get custom orthotics through a doctor or physical therapist for the same price as the stuff from Good Feet. Good Feet sells "semi-custom" orthotics and you speak with someone trained to sell, rather than someone trained to make you feel better.

I went to the Good Feet albany store three weeks ago and had begun limping because of my foot pain. The salesman was very informative and put me throgh a series of tests and footprints for both my feet. Then he brought out 6-8 arch supports which I tried on and walked around in. Immediately, I felt a difference in my pain level matter of fact I straightened up. I only had one pair of shoes with me
