National Car Rental - Taken advantage of and rude representative
SAN JUAN -- October 2012 the wife and I went to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon. We rented a vehicle from national car rental, big mistake prices were high and personel are unprofessional. While in Puerto Rico traveling to another city we went thru a tollbooth. As we approached the toll the attendant at the booth informed us that we were in the wrong lane. The attendant waived us thru without accepting any cash ($1.40.)
Three weeks later I was charged by National car rental on my credit card $29.20. I called National car rental and a women with an Indian accent and a gentle voice assisted. She informed me that National charged me the $29.20 because of the $1.40 toll not paid. As I explained to the her as stated above her gentle voice changed, she became very loud and rude. I informed her that I was unhappy with National car rental and that she need not speek to me with her rude tone of voice. I have a right to inquire why I was being charged extra. National car rental lost my business including family, friends and as many people I can get this message to. The attendant at the rental location was also very unprofessional. Bad business, which makes me believe that the employees do not receive customer service training, Politeness and kindness goes a long way. I am done with National Car Rental.
