BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- This is one of the absolutely horrible monster companies I have ever dealt with in my life. My bill that started out 2+ years ago at around $100+ for their medium grade bundled service is now up to $167. In the meantime, I am getting fliers from them telling me I can get the same package for around $90. The bill keeps creeping up and up every 3-4 months, and it drives one crazy. Their TV channels are about 1/3 made up of "Jesus Sellers", "Trinket Sellers", Informercials, and other absolutely useless channels on which Verizon gets paid, and I have to pay Verizon again to clog up my TV. So many interesting channels are blocked out; too few channels worth anything. If I try to reach their customer serivce with any problems, it is amazing how they make it almost impossible to reach service reps. They give you for example alternate numbers. they turn out to be dead numbers. When one finally reaches a rep., he/she is one of the rudest, uncaring individual one would ever encouter and does not solve your problem. Now, I find that Verizon has started tacking on "Unpaid Balance" that comes to about 8% of my bill. Even when I pay the bill for one month in full, even though not knowing why there is an "Unpaid Balance" for that month, the same charge pops up again the next month. It appears that they may be running a consumer scam to generate more revenue, by ignoring full payments. If you have any other choice, do not sign up with Verizon; it is truly a garbage company.

Funny how those idiots in Washington thought competition would be great for the cable tv/phone industry. Little did they know they would just collude on prices/offerings. In my area it's either Comcast or Verizon but not both. Certain areas are tied to Comcast and the others are Verizon so they're free to set/raise whatever prices they want knowing there's really no competition unless you want Dish or some other satellite provider.

You have multiple issues here.

The bulk of your complaint is a customer satisfaction matter, but there is one thing mentioned near the end that most certainly can be fixed - the "unpaid balance" charge. It may take a few phone calls, but you should be able to. That would be smart, so you don't go on paying even more than the monthly fee that seems to be increasing.

Verizon Fios sounded great initially with a good price that went up and up with each bill I got. I hated their internet service even though it was faster than AOL. I also did not like the looks of Verizon internet home screen. AOL is much more user friendly. Also, HD is highly over rated and not worth paying for. If you look and not even close, the border of your tv screen is smaller. So, when you get HD, you get a smaller screen? So, does the smaller screen make the picture clearer? Verizon has a million channels which is good but you gotta watch your bill because each month the bill is more than it was the month before. Basically, Verizon is ripping you off.

Verizon fios is great when it works, but the tech who installed it ran the line to the house through an old tree so naturally the line broke, so no signal. Called verizon and they will be out in 5 days to fix it for me.6 days of no phone, no interenet and no tv. I have not had any problem with billing so far, but customer service is shit.
