Expedia - Scam that's causing me to pull my hair out!

Hotel reservation - Complaint

MIAMI, FLORIDA -- Early last August 2012 I made a hotel reservation in the Dominican Republic through Expedia. They immediately charged my credit card the $126.60. Within a day or two, I cancelled the reservation and there was supposed to be no cancellation fee. Expedia never issued a refund to my credit card. They did not send me a confirmation email. Through much hassle and much waste of my time, my credit card issuer refunded my money. (No one answered the phone when my credit card company tried to call them.) Now, over two months later, Expedia re-billed my credit card for the same $126.60. Again, when my credit card company tried to call Expedia, no one answered the phone. No telling what hassle I'll have to go through - again - to get this fraudulent charge credited to me. And I may have to cancel my credit card and have it re-issued with a different number in order to prevent Expedia from continuing to fraudulently bill my credit card. My advice from my experience - NEVER use Expedia.

give expedia a call and go directly to customer service. ask the cs agent to check reservations under your name and if there is some pending ccauth amount which usually happens when its the first time you use the card on any companies. ask the agent who made the new reservation, if there was. you can escalate the call 2x to reach an american agent if you want. agent>supervisor>american agent... gud luck
