Motosport.com - Horrible Customer Service and Policy
Motorcycle Parts - Complaint
TUALATIN, OREGON -- To all my sport bike friends. I suggest never purchasing anything from www.motosport.com. I know I will never purchase from MotoSport.com again. I searched for the part I wanted online and when I found it I went through the whole process to purchase it through the site. In the process I filled in the ship to address and the billing address correctly and submitted everything. After thinking the order was complete and moving forward I was disappointed to see that the estimated shipping date would be Nov. 9th. There was a counter on the screen showing the count down for order to shipped same day and stated 3 day shipping... Kind of deceiving.
Beyond that I got an email that seemed to confirm the order was underway, but when I looked a little closer it said that the order was not processed and I had to call. The note about the order not being processed could easily have been missed if I did not look closely. When I called the person said that they could only ship to my Billing Address! This makes no sense since the form specifically asked for a Ship to and Bill To address. The bike is in California why would I want the part shipped to Maryland? The guy said sorry I will cancel your order. Talk about poor customer service. Name a website out there that does not allow someone to ship to a different address than the billing... Never happened to me before ever.
I called Berts Mega Mall and they were able to help me with this part. They will bill to MD and Ship to CA. They gave free shipping. They also can have the part in stock in 2 days and that means in my hands in 4 days. Much faster then it would have happened with Motosport.com... OH and Berts Mega Mall was able to save me money charging 4% less then I would have paid from www.motosport.com
In the end. Forget ABOUT Motosport.com. There are better companies out there like Berts and http://www.solomotoparts.com/
