Norwegian Cruise Line - They Will Say Anything to Get You to Book a Cruise. Liars!

BLANCA, COLORADO -- My wife & I recently cruised on NCL. When we booked the trip I told the NCL sales representative that we were celebrating our anniversary. She said she would have make a note for us to have a cake served to us on the night I would choose on the cruise. It was to be a surprise for my wife.

When I inquired on the ship about the cake, I was told NCL doesn't do this. We were married on a Royal Caribbean ship many years ago and had a huge cake delivered to our table as a surprise one night. We had a few problems on the cruise and I wrote a letter to NCL on our return. I was told they would send me a certificate for an on board credit for a future cruise. We booked another cruise, but the certificate would expire a couple of months before our cruise, so I called their cs number and requested the credit be extended to our future cruise. It never arrived so I called them again and was told no new extension would be sent. So I was lied to when they told me they would extend it the first time.

On our cruise the problems we experienced were trash cans in cabin only emptied twice on a 7 day cruise, spent 2 nights in the main dining room for 2 hours before our food came, extremely small portions in main dining room, requiring us to eat at the buffet after we ate, and several rude crew members. We're not big eaters, but the portions were ridiculous. We have been on 9 cruises before this first cruise on NCL. Never again will we cruise on NCL.
