Select Comfort - Sleep Number M7 Mattress

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- After trying out different Sleep Number mattresses, my wife and I decided upon the queen size m7 model. We compared it with several models of Tempurpedic mattresses, and we preferred the Sleep Number mattress. We bought it and have been sleeping on it for a couple weeks.
Since then, I discovered a lot of very negative reviews and customer experiences with the Sleep Number mattresses and the company service and support. I wonder whether only dissatisfied people bother to send in their complaints...
We haven't had any problems with our new mattress, so we haven't had to deal with any customer support regarding the problems. I hope this remains the case. In the meantime, I can only say that this mattress is by far the most incredibly comfortable mattress I have ever slept on, and I am 77 years old. I've slept on a lot of mattresses.
For many years, my sleep has been characterized by a lot of tossing and turning as my body seems to become uncomfortable after being in one position for too long. With this mattress, I am finding that I can lie for hours in any of several positions; left side, right side, on my back, on my stomach, and I just lie there in such complete comfort that I just don't need to change position. It is quite amazing.
As I said, I haven't had any need to ask for customer service, so I can't vouch for how well or poorly the company's support operates; but there is no question in my mind that this mattress brings a unique level of support and comfort to my body that surpasses my best previous experience. My wife uses a different Sleep Number to obtain similar satisfaction. That is another important advantage of this system. It can be adjusted to meet each individual's needs.
I hope our mattress or pump won't experience any failures that require company service, but if it does, I will definitely do what is necessary to get it back to proper condition, because it is the best.

Yes, there are numerous very negative reviews. I can see only one explanation - that they are legitimate. I hope your bed turns out to serve you well - nobody wants to have to go through premature repairs with a company alleged to have poor quality products.

We had an unusual opportunity to see how our Sleep Number bed is constructed. It is one of the few mattresses that comes as a set of modules that are assembled on-site. I had the opportunity to inspect each module, and I could find nothing that appeared to show low quality material or construction. I believe the m7 mattress is one of the newer designs, and perhaps it is an improvement over some older models... I can't tell. I do know that the air pumps are now a newer and quieter design than were used in the past. It is extremely quiet.
