Online shopping on Homedepot.ca - lousy customer service
Lawn mower ordered online - Complaint
MONTREAL -- Very disappointed on my very first exeprience with Homedepot. ca. I ordered on sep.1st, 2012 a Ryobi lawn mower on Homedepot. ca so I can cut our newly installed grass. Item was not in stock but Homedepot. ca advised to go ahead with the order. Received a confirmation e-mail with an expected delivery date for Sep. 19th. Called back 2 days later only to hear the item would actually be available on Oct.2nd. I noticed on October 1st Homedepot. ca was showing 4 Ryobi lawn mower in stock. So, I called customer service who did not understand why I did not received my item and promised a manager would look into it and should call me within 1 to 3 days. Never received a call. Had to go on a business trip outside the country and called customer service back upon my return on Oct. 13th. The agent told me there was a flaw with my Sept 1 order due to system change at Homedepot, canceled it and place a new order for me but there was no Ryobi in stock again. As I am supposed to have received the item by Oct 26, I called in on Oct 30th and was served the same song I heard before: a manager will be looking into it and give me a call back within 1 to 3 days. And I asked for a ticket number this time I can refer to next time I call. This is Nov 3rd and I am still waiting. No call from Homedepot.ca customer service (they never had, never will?). Should their competitors show them how to handle online shopping and care for customers??!! Am I the only one having trouble getting that Ryobi Lawn mower from Homedepot.ca? I wish it was available in stores.
