Olive Garden Complaint - Maggot in Pasta - Bugs in Pasta Dish
BUFFALO, NEW YORK -- I was in the Olive Garden by the Galleria Mall in Buffalo about a year ago. I was there with my family and we were enjoying a pleasant meal. The service was excellent and I was having a good time. When I was about half way done with my pasta and garlic dish (I don't recall the name of the dish) I noticed an unusual item. I picked it up with my fork and noticed that it was a maggot. I didn't get sick or anything like that, but it was gross. We called the waiter over and explained what had just happened. We showed him the "specimen" which I had on my fork. He had the nerve to say "It looks like an olive." First of all, there were no olives in this dish and second of all, it had two eyes and tiny little legs on it (I'm not sure if it was a maggot or another kind of bug, it looked like a maggot though). They called the manager over who took her time getting there. I don't remember exacly what she said but I do remember having to tell her that we were not paying for our meal because none of us felt like eating any more even though there was a lot of food still left. In fact, none of us had much of an appetite to go eat somewhere else either, even though we were all still pretty hungry. I will never eat at the Olive Garden on Walden Ave by the Galleria.
