CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- You are much better off saving your money and subscribing to Match.com than shelling out the $500 for 5 dinners that it costs for 8@8. Eight at Eight will claim they screen the men you will be eating with, but as far as I can tell the only criteria is that the men are male.

They let you set 3 items for what you are looking for: Age, Smoker/non-smoker, and whether they have kids. As far as I can tell, they don't do any filtering (someone from my first dinner smoked, and 2 of the men at the second dinner had kids and one was born in the mid 1950's (I was born in the late 70's...he was 15+ years outside of my age range).

My summary: Don't waste your money. I wish there had been reviews out there when I was evaluating signing up. When I contacted the company to complain after the first one they basically gave me the option of selling my remaining dinners to a friend...as if I would take money from a friend for such a horrible service?
