Applebees Complaint - Wadded Paper is not Chicken
OLEAN, NEW YORK -- A few months ago I was eating at the Applebees in Olean, NY. I had the crispy orange chicken (which is my favorite). However, when I tried to cut one of the chicken pieces it was really tough. I finally got it apart and noticed that it was not, in fact, chicken rather a wadded piece of paper with orange chicken sauce and breading on it. We called the waitress over to complain. She claimed that it was not the individual location's fault as the chicken came prebreaded. She offered to comp my beverage.
I didn't lose my appetite or anything but it would have been nice of them to, perhaps, not charge me for at least the percentage of the meal that was comprised of paper rather than chicken and the percentage that I didn't eat due to the shocking realization that I was eating what very well could have been someone's used napkin.
