Dell Computers - Didn't honor Gift Card

TEXAS -- Didn't honor a $169. Gift card on a $3388 Alienware computer.
They were not clear on the fact it had an expiration date, nor were they clear about the time expiration began clicking down. We were 7 days late redeeming it. They flat out said were out of luck. We got the run around on the phone support by 6 different agents and two supervisors. My suggestion is shop elsewhere. This was our second Dell and the second time we were extremely unhappy with the customer service.

With gift cards you need to find out what all the conditions are to avoid this happening.

I've worked out a way to avoid being hosed by Dell - I had one bad experience and it will be my last.

I can sure agree with the previous comment. Staying up to date with gift card expirations can be a daunting task, but well worth it to not find yourself within this situation.
