Proform Treadmill - Complaint

PENNSYLVANIA -- Someone help, I am at a loss on what to do. I ordered a Proform Treadmill on Sept. 9, 2012 from HSN. Treadmill was delivered on October 1, 2012. Treadmill stopped working October 28, 2012. Called Proform because that is what I was told to do, they ordered a new motor and roller. Today Nov.13 2012 the repairman just came and left because the wrong motor was delivered. Now I am told they have to order ANOTHER motor so it will be ANOTHER 2 weeks. Called HSN explained the situation, told them I would like to return the treadmill and was told "I was outside of my return date and there is nothing they can do and they ordered you a new motor right?!" I ONLY USED THE THE THING FOR 2 WEEKS! Now what do I do? Do I call a lawyer? Stop making payments, which will go on my credit report, so not an option really. Do I call my local news, who routinely do reports on crap like this. I am furious!

sounds like the manufacturer is making good on the warranty.

I would sit tight and wait for the motor. They seem to be doing what they can. I don't think a news outlet would pick this up to run with.

I agree with madconsumer. The manufacterer is trying to make it right. I can understand your frustration though.
I don't think going to the news will yield postive results. I mean what are you going to tell them? That you ordered a tredmill from HSN, it failed outside of their return policy and now the manufacterer is trying to repair it under warranty? I doubt that will garner you much sympathy as it seems that the manufacterer is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Granted sending the wrong motor was a mistake, they are trying to fix it for you.
