Nationwide Corporation - You are just a number to them

I hate to admit that I have let this company run rough shodb over me not once, not twice, but 3 times, on the last occasion they added insult to injury by sending me a letter that states "DEMAND HAS BEEN MADE you REFUND $775 of the $1400 we paid on this claim because we feel we were overcharged, and should have only paid $335 by our account!!" The letter continued, that if I do not defer to"DEMAND" of Goliath, aka Nationwide, I will be subject to LEGAL consequences!!!!I am also aware of another poor victim and have seen the actual legal documents for imminent SHERIFFS SALE for same situation, Nationwide paid and then came back and claimed they overpaid and sued for their $ back (and amount was $1600, not tens of thousands of dollars, but amts that in the big picture, is minuscule to them, but may be the only thing worth value to vehicle owner. They take advantage of the uninformed claimants AS WELL AS THEIR OWN INSURED TO PAD THEIR BOTTOM LINE!! IT MAKES ME SICK!!! This is only tip of the iceberg and I 4 1 am NOT rolling over THIS TIME!!! I may end up being "Sheriff Sales" to in the end, but I am NOT handing over legitimately paid $ that was owed to me because BIG BAD NATIONWIDE DEMANDS IT! Lets let a jury decide.

Seems to me that if Nationwide's adjusters messed up, then it's Nationwide's problem, not the customer's. Good review.

Exactly! How do u (Nationwide), pay for something, and then after customer has come and gone from repair shop, comeback weeks after the fact (and just recieved a call yesterday from a collection agent representing Nationwide) seeking reimbursal for a car they paid to repair in 2010, but now decided they don't think they should have paid, and now that car and customer are gone, are sueing bodyshop for their $ back!!!! What the heck! Fortunately I wasn't the shop they were looking for, but am incensed none the less! They are trying to pull the same crap w me and now I'm thinking how many Nationwide claims I have repaired and that I am now a sitting duck, subject who knows how many "paid claim" 'remorse' lawsuitsthat are headed my way. Left to worry about next certified letter, bringing more unsavory business practices my way...aka David vs Goliath.
