HARRISBURG, PA. -- Contacted by an appraiser from mentioned company at 7 a.M. Regarding an appraisal. Who calls about something like this at, " 7 a. M.? " Returned calls on 4 different occasions over 3 days. After not receiving a reply, I contacted the office and spoke to a supervisor who said, " we start at 7 a.M. "I told him, I am retired and don't need to receive calls at 7 a.M. With an attitude, he said he'd have the appraiser call me. Finally, on the 4th day he called and came to check the damage. *** This company is extremely inconsiderate and unreliable. Do not use them ! ***

A lot of people, I have to go to work at 6:30 AM sometimes. I've had jobs where I had to be at work by 5:00 AM before. It's not uncommon. The reason they called you that early I'm guessing is because they would rather contact people before they go to work rather than call them at work where. Granted you are retired, but they have no way of knowing that.

I do think they should've contacted you more promptly after you returned their call.

They are not supposed to call you this early based on FTC rules:

The TSR prohibits deceptive and abusive telemarketing acts and practices and sets forth standards of conduct for telemarketing calls:

Calling times are restricted to the hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Telemarketers must promptly tell you the identity of the seller or charitable organization and that the call is a sales call or a charitable solicitation.
Telemarketers must disclose all material information about the goods or services they are offering and the terms of the sale. They are prohibited from lying about any terms of their offer.

You can file a complaint or enter your number on the do not call list at www.ftc.gov
