NEW ALBANY, OHIO -- I stopped by the New Albany location for breakfast because I think Wendy's has a phenomenal breakfast. I stopped every morning at the Wendy's in Granville, they open at 6am. The Wendy's in New Albany used to open at 6am but now they open at 7am (really??) Anyway, I stopped at 4 minutes until 7am and still couldn't get served. The man that answered the drive-thru said "we don't open until 7" I said "that's in about a minute" He said "no, that's like in 4 minutes" Really?? You're going to argue about 3 minutes. He was so rude!!! That's not the first time they have been rude to me at the New Albany location. If I were Wendy's Corp. I would seriously consider some management change at the New Albany location!! BTW, if you aren't going to serve customers, then DON'T turn on the menu lights....really??? That's just ridiculous!! If it were my company, I would have been happy to serve a customer at 4 minutes til 7am. SERIOUSLY, never going to that location again!!!!!!

1 minute...3 minutes??? It doesn't matter. They open at 7. All this drama because they didn't wait on you before they were open? I don't get your point.

I don't think it's bad customer service to open the store prior to its opening time. If they did, then it should be considered very good customer service, but it's not bad to not open early.

So opening on time is now considered poor customer service? Interesting. Did you ever consider that perhaps the point of sale registers don't come online until 7:00 AM?

There is nothing in this review that indicates that Wendy's did anything remotely wrong.

What if you had arrived 5 minutes before opening, how about 10 minutes before opening? As far as the menu board lights being on that was probably part of the last minute morning start up procedure. Turn on lights, unlock doors, double check restrooms and on down the list. They weren't quite ready to start the morning shift for ordering. The individual told you they didn't open until 7 am and you decided to argue with him.

There is not a seated restaurant in this area I am aware of that unlocks the doors until the stated opening time. Of course they don't have a drive thru but you can clearly see the interior and exterior lights and employees inside. I can fully appreciate if they decided to start opening the doors early then it would be expected on the next visit. All I ask is a business open at the posted time.

I'm confused by what happened, because you arrived by your own admission at 4 minutes before opening. But you argued over not only that they were not open when they shouldn't have been, but that it was in a minute when it was 4.

I guess I am surprised that you argued over only 4 minutes, especially when there was no reason to expect that they were open. If they started serving people before opening, that is a slippery slope - soon people would be yelling at them at 6:45 am, asking why they aren't being served.
