Vonage - Lousy customer service and billing practies

FORT MYERS, FLORIDA -- I had Vonage for abut a year. The first equipment I received didn't work correctly, I called Vonage and spoke to someone who spoke very broken English. After several minutes he said they were sending me new equipment, that the one I received didn't work correctly. When I received the new equipment I had some difficulties making calls with it also and when I called again I spoke to someone who was very hard to understand. I asked for someone to come out to help and he said "Vonage doesn't do that". I finally got it working but eventually cancelled the service due to the poor customer service. Four years later I received a bill from a collection agent. I had no idea I owed them any money, I had returned the equipment. That was when I learned it was a 2 year contract. I have settled with them but I would never recommend them to anyone. I feel their business practices are questionable to say the least.
