I got a call one day from a nice sounding lady who stated I had been chosen for a one hundred dollar WalMart gift card. I eventually signed up for their 'services,' of which they claimed were many. It did not take me long to find out I could not use any of the so-called services they offered. I sent them an email, advising that I was cancelling my membership, and telling them to discontinue charging my credit card. Next month, sure enough, they hit me for another ten dollars. I have sent three more emails, and they have taken three more payments. I Googled Wakanetwork, and found a whole list of hits referencing their scams.

I found two addresses, one in Des Plaines, IL and the other in Henderson NV. I tried the 'contact us' button on their website and got no response. I tried their emails service, and conveniently for them, got an email error. There was no response at any of the phone numbers listed for them.

My next step is contacting my credit card company and advising them that any future charge from this outfit is unauthorized due to fraud.

I never respond to unsolicited phone calls offering services or prize notifications, etc. Most of them are, as you point out, scams.

It definitely looks like a scam. Some research found the "mailing" address for the company is a mail drop/forwarding service in Henderson, NV. (i.e. one of those places you rent a mailbox and your address is listed as a "suite" at that location). The company additionally operates Easy Scripts which is an online "Pharmacy". Their headquarters location comes back to Des Plaines Ill for both companies on a search for the website owner - it is likely the illinois address is where the domain name is administered.

In depth searching found an additional address in Cyprus.

I hope you do contact your credit card company to dispute the charge; I would recommend having your card and account number changed as well because it may be compromised.

Everything about the complaints rings Scam, anyone that says you will get something free if u sign up for this or that. It's pure fraud i'd contact the FTC and let them know.

If i'm getting something free there should be no reason for me to provide any type of financial info credit or debit card info. Since, its supposed "free"
