Applebees - Outright rip off plus horrible taste!!!

I thought I was in for a treat as a foreigner by stopping at the well advertised Applebee's in Hooksett, NH, to experience those mouth watering and colorful displays of food seen on TV. I decided to do take out since my day was jammed..lunch cost approx. $27; didn't mind since I was anticipating flavor. Couldn't wait to get home with my bundle of goodies. My first observation was the package felt a bit light, then it had a burnt smell, then when I popped that little black plastic container, my first thought was 'oh no, they gave me someone's leftovers'. The food literally was rolling around in that little container, 4 cubes of potato, 2 cuts of zucchini, 1 cut of squash, six small shrimp and 1 piece of grilled marked charred chicken, the taste was just as bad. The potatoes tasted like yesterday's and each bite of the chicken gave me that bitter taste. It was just horrible, I called back home and told my sister, she said I can hear it in your voice that you are angry and that I was. I don't think I will eat at Applebee's for now. I may give it another try but not in the next 6 months to a year. Presentation horrible; taste - horrible; price - does not equate to quality. I thought of returning to the restaurant with my abused tastebuds, but then I was too depressed with $27 short and an empty stomach!!! I just gave myself a licking cause I should have stuck to my plans of stopping at good old KFC, spent less and enjoyed my lunch.

Applebees is the bottom of the barrel in its "class". The "cooks" are kids making low wages. The staff's best attributes are often as eye candy. The food is low quality. Sorry you were fooled by the ads.

I have written several reviews and posts about Applebee's and they're all negative. I don't slam a business or restaurant based on one experience with them. We can all have a bad day. Applebee's consistently has a bad day. I have tried different locations numerous times with the same horrible results.
Out of all of the chain joints Applebee's consistently ranks dead last. They have the worst food, the worst management and employ kids expecting big tips for lousy service. They make their money with over priced drinks at the bar. I avoid this place like the plaque.
