GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS -- After completing a project an extra faucet was left over and I tried to return it. I had returned another item on the recepit and didn't have the original receipt. I was told "No Problem" can we mail you a check? I said sure that's fine. Week after week "it's on it's way". Later turned to you need to speak with John [snip] in Loss Prevention. Week after week John was always out. Three missed appointments and finally got him on the phone and I'm accused of theft and threatened with incarseration unless I can produce a receipt they already have taken.

I used to spend three to five thousand a week there. Now I go to Lowes only.

This is where the documenting the transactions, especially that of the returned faucet, is important. There should have been a receipt provided to you showing they were receiving said product back. A refund is then processed and a guarantee of such given with the same receipt. I can't see anyone just dropping the part off; not documenting it and then expecting a refund. If the documentation shows a guarantee for payment, then it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not sure what is being referred to as missed appointments. Were there actually a set time you were supposed to be contacting one another?

was this paid with a credit card or cash or by check?
