Humana Part D - Stolen Identity
Prescription Drug Plan - Complaint
BREMERTON, WASHINGTON -- I joined Humana, Part D in 2006,even though I was not and still am not using any medication. When I joined, my monthly premium was around $10.00 and is now $36,10. I found out October 12,2012 that a woman in Texas has been using my plan for 3 years (average 5 prescriptions per month). I am being told by the pharmacy in Bay City, Texas that the woman and I have the exact same name (first, middle and last) the same birth date, the year of birth changes, depending who I'm talking with at the time.
Believe me I have talked with a lot of people in several states, they pass the buck and stonewall me with excuses and mendacity. Truth and the desire to get at the truth is of no interest to these people.
The police told me the woman, who claims to be me, is in a nursing home and that she is comatose. When I asked if he had seen her at the nursing home he said he had not seen her. The person he talked with told him. I spoke with the manager of the pharmacy and was told the woman is not comatose, this pharmacy manager was beyond rude and he blamed Humana for "the error". In another conversation he changed his story and said that Humana had sent the other woman my Membership Card.
Humana tells me the pharmacy has taken full responsibility for the error. I don't believe anyone I have spoken with. I have spoken with Humana reps in Az, Wi, Pa, Ky, Tx, Ga to name a few. I have more questions than answers. I want to know how this could happen, if it could happen to me and continue for (three years on my dime) without my knowing....it can happen to anyone.
