LONDONDERRY, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- We purchased four new appliances for our new home which is under construction from the Londonderry, NH Home Depot. The appliances were scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, December 5th. Just got the call that they changed delivery to December 13th. This is totally unacceptable as we are scheduled to close on our new house on December 15th and we can't close as the appliances are not in and the town has to inspect them for occupancy. The salesman was extremely rude, said he had gone above and beyond at the sale and there was nothing he could do. We asked for the store manager, the salesman said there wasn't one.

Low and behold we kept insisting to speak with a store manager and voila! An assistant was nice, but no reassurance they could get our appliances in time for our house closing. Turns out they weren't put on the delivery truck which sounds like an employee was taking a coffee break when the delivery truck was being loaded. Someone reading this please help! Thank you.

Not happy customers after being promised a delivery date in time for our closing!!

Sounds frustrating; especially the fact that you're moving into a new home in the middle of the holidays.

I would be curios as to how the promise of a December 5th delivery date occurred. The problem I can see is that Home Depot outsources their deliveries and, with such a busy delivery season, needs a certain amount of lead time to make such arrangements.

Hopefully you won't mind me inquiring, but when was the delivery first requested?

Ultimately, have you offered to transport the appliances yourself from the storage location they're in? It may not be the optimal solution for you, but could supply your builder with the needed appliances sooner.

Please let us know.

The delivery was set up by the terrible rude sales person who said he was "doing you a favor". He then called us the next day and said December 5th opened up and to call the 800 delivery number, which we did. We got confirmation that Dec 5 was all set. Then somehow it didn't get loaded on to the truck in Atlanta. Impossible for us to transport the appliances ourselves from Ga to NH. After waiting for a resolution for 48 hours, we went to a local appliance store and upgraded to Bosch appliances for the same amount of money we paid HD, as there were rebates. No fuss, no muss, and the saleman said it was a pleasure doing business with us. The sale took 15 minutes and guess what? The appliances were delivered today :) HD dropped the ball and we'll never buy HD appliances again. Local appliance stores are the way to go. Such personal wonderful service!!
