Whirlpool - Refrigerator

I needed a light bulb for a refrigerator. Called Whirlpool 10-30-12 for a Part. Cost $7.00+9.85 (shipping)= $16.85. They shipped by mail there told me, but also ask me for the physical address. I waited 2 weeks and found out that the P. O. box is not on the Parcel. I gave them the P. O. box number when I placed the order.
So I called them there promised to ship the parcel direct from the Post Office but it will cost me $7.80 (now we are on $24.65). I checked today 12-05-12 the status of the order. There shipped to the wrong town but correct zip so want to cancel the order.
They cannot find the first Cost of ($16.85).I told them the charge was posted as of 11-03-12 on my credit card. After 15min. screaming he found the charge. NO more Whirlpool. Today I found the light bulb $4.65 +7.12(shipping)=11.77, by the way the light bulb was 6 month old.

Unless it's some sort of 'special' light bulb...you can buy Appliance light bulbs pretty much anywhere light bulbs are sold. I buy my refrigerator bulbs at our local drug store and they are WAY cheaper than what you paid for your's and there's no postage!

Some appliances do use a more standard incandescent light, but they use more energy and radiate additional heat. Certain fridges are now using florescent style lighting which is more appealing, less energy use, but more expensive to replace.
If you seem to be going through lighting more easily, I always recommend purchasing the actual OEM lights. Second brand name consumables generally do last a lot less time. Connect the fridge, as well, with a line conditioner; not directly into the wall outlet. If you're dealing with a lot of noisy electricity, it can wear on the circuitry as well as something like a bulb.
