FISHKILL, NEW YORK -- I purchased a refrigerator & dishwasher and told the salesperson to deliver any weekday before noon. I received a call stating delivery will be between 3 to 7PM. I attempted to reschedule for another morning. The shipper claimed they cannot schedule time slots, they will notify us re. time.
So, I had no choice but to schedule on Saturday with no specific time. So Saturday is shot, due to horrible shipping practice.

I don't think this to be a 'horrible shipping practice', in that most delivery services cannot slot a very specific time. This is something that should have been explained to you, however, while making the purchase.
