NAPLES, FLORIDA -- I will NEVER believe Mapquest again as long as I live!! What a screwed up business!! Yeah we get it 'free' but they get money from somewhere to put bad directions for people to use.

I drove an hour out of my way and my car is not in great shape!! I ended up in a questionable part of a town I was not familiar with.

It is NOT RIGHT for Mapquest to continue to give directions that are wrong!!

SHAME ON YOU BUNCH OF MORONS!!!

I also had a few problems with Mapquest and no longer use them. Try Google Maps, very accurate and I never had a problem.

Did you type in the address you were leaving and the address you were going to? Or, did you just print out and area map?

Whenever I use Mapquest (which is all the time), if I'm going to an area I'm not familiar with, I also use the Street View so I can get an idea of the area and the business' around the place I'm going too. Google Earth is great for that.

i use mapquest all the time for directions. could you have selected an alternate route instead of the most direct route?

That's happened to me before, although it's rare. I take all directions, even GPS ones, with a grain of salt. If you're starting to get the sinking suspicion that you're not getting close to your destination, I've found that it's still helpful to pull off at a gas station and get directions.

This may be obvious, but have you typed in the correct address as well as selecting the correct address as there may multiple addresses.
