Red Lobster - Waiting for a Table

INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA -- We arrived at the Red Lobster (Inglewood, CA) around 3:00 P.M. We were told that it would be a minute for us to get our table. We waited ten minutes and no one came to us and said anything else. There were empty tables and there was also two couples in front of us. I understand having to wait for a table if the restaurant was crowded but this wait was too long for the restaurant to be half empty.

We ended up going to Lucille's BBQ in Culver City and there were less free tables but we were seated in less than 3 minutes.

We should have been seated instead of told to wait.

3 p.m. is often a "dead" time for restaurants. Staffing is down. There are plenty of empty tables because there are no customers!

Did you, or the couples ahead of you, speak up while continuing to wait?
