CINCINNATI, OHIO -- Today I purchased 40+ Kroger Gift Cards as Christmas Gifts for the Employees of our Company. I noticed that I did not receive Fuel Points for the purchase. I contacted four different Kroger Employees at four different divisions of Krogers, including the store of purchase, customer service(Yea Right= Customer Dis-Service more like it)and finally Kroger Corporate Executive Office. The worst of them all was the lady at Executive Offices! She has no business calling herself Customer Service!

I explained that I feel as a Business Owner myself, that our Business should receive the fuel points for the purchase fo 40+ cards, to be used for our company vehicles. I was told that the points are passed on to whomever uses the cards. What I don't understand is their lack of concern for my thoughts on this issue. She told me that is the way it is and that is the way it stays. Rather express compassion and understanding for my issue, and try to help me understand or make an exception she seemed like it doesn't make a difference weather I continue to purchase from their stores both for Business and Personal.
Their computors can track every single purchase we make but they can't provide this request to fellow Business Owners who spend thousands of dollars at their stores?

Looks like we'll be shopping around for a store with better CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I can understand that sometime it's not what is said but more of how it's spoken.

With that said, I would think this much more than a simple request. If their system is already set up to provide the fuel points to those using the cards, then they're not trying to avoid paying out this bonus.

I would provide the gift cards to the employees with the heartfelt gratitude it is suppose to convey. If, however, the fuel incentives mean that much to the company, you could have cut back to a smaller denominational amount on the gift card, investing the difference in your 'company vehicles'. This would then accomplish the exact equivalent.
