Merchandise Never Ordered Was Billed To Me - Complaint

I perused the site but did NOT give or authorize credit information for the sale to the best of my knowledge or memory. I notified them of this after receiving an email that merchandise was on its way. I notified my credit card co. Overstock.com REFUSED TO HELP IN ANY WAY - LEFT ME IN A CHAT SESSION FOR MANY MINUTES WITHOUT REPLY AND IN THE END WOULD NOT CANCEL THE ORDER AND/OR CREDIT MY ACCOUNT. It was for an amount under $30 -- imagine if the charge was even more! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!!! I tried to ask HOW they got my credit card number (maybe an "auto-fill mistake" or past order??!!) but they wouldn't even tell me that! Only way I knew which card was charged was that Amex confirmed for me.
