TMobile - Do Not Expect Good Service

Complaint

GEORGIA -- I switched from AT&T to TMobile expecting to save money and get unlimited voice, data and texting for $49.95 per month. After switching over I discovered the service coverage area is terrible. The nationwide 4G is a scam. Its slow at best. Expect a poor response from customer service...they have know of the problems and will perpetuate the lie. I was sent a signal booster (not postage free BTW), which did not work at all. Later, I found that they extended my contract when I received the signal booster. They blamed the signal weakness on the HTC phone and sent me a new one for a shipping fee of $25 and warranty fee of $41. All these fees will appear on your bill and they will not warn you of the charges. Be prepared to spend hours on the phone working out the billing issues only to find the charges reappear again and again. These people are not serve oriented and will wear you out. The termination fee doesn't reduce any until you are 20 months into a 24 month plan. There is a reason bad eggs smell bad and TMobile smells bad. Drop them as if they are toxic waste and move to Verizon. You will see the same savings for a lot less aggravation.

I've always liked my T-Mobile service.

I made the same mistake of locking into a 24 month contract with T-Mobile. After 23 months I contacted them to see if they would let me out of the contract. No way. I was told that if I terminated the contract even one day early I would be subjected to a $375 early termination fee. Great way to reward a paying customer.

I'm now with Cricket. Yes the reviews are not great and they throttle back heavy internet users. So far no complaints. For $50 bucks a month and NO contract it works for me. Unlimited voice, text and internet. If I'm not happy I can walk. Even better is I don't have to deal with T-Mobile's arrogant customer service.

Ive had t mobile for about 15 years I've never had a problem with customer service or my service area..You are suppose to check coverage before you sign a contract. Me and my husband have the 49 dollar plan and the 4g is great,i listen to Pandora on my phone all day and do a lot of web stuff..

It is the customer's responsibility to read their contract. You have a 14 day buyer's remorse period in which to return your equipment and cancel your service with no penalty. Two weeks is long enough to determine if the service or equipment is adequate. Go past 14 days and you have no leg to stand on. If you are post paid you signed a two year contract. You are expected to keep the contract you agreed to. Hence the early termination fees. There is no guarantee of service. The provider has no way of knowing if your home or business is in a dead zone even if the area map shows 4G. To get a signal booster you are put through an automated system which tells you the terms and conditions, then you must punch in a number to agree or disagree with the terms and conditions. If a phone is the issue it is a manufactoring issue. The provider will return it for you out of convenience but will charge you. You can return to the manufacturer on your own to avoid those charges. And, these charges are charged from the manufacturer passed to the provider. So, the provider passes the charges to the customer. I am concerned about the unlimited talk, text and data for $49.99. That is either prepaid - no contract or termination fees. Or, small busniess value plan if postpaid. I suspect the latter. Reoccurring charges? For what overages fees? I'm not sure what reoccuring charges mean.
