Food Lion - Missing Wings on a Whole Chicken

MT. PLEASANT, NORTH CAROLINA -- Dec 13 purchased a whole chicken(?) from Food Lion in Mt Pleasant NC. Opened package to find no wings on the bird, extra wad of chicken skin, no giblets at all and the bird won't set up in the roasting pan. It looked like a road kill with all the bones broken. I understand the giblets are split up to go into different package to make a separate sale thw wings are the done the same way;Butttttttttttt: shouldn't a whole chicken be a whole chicken??????????????Please reply. Thank you for your time.

Never have I EVER purchased a whole chicken without the wings. If this is something new that store is trying, that would be the last time they saw me. They are cutting every corner possible to cheat the consumer and this would be the final straw for me. A pound of coffee is no longer a pound, a pound of bacon is no longer a pound, a 5-lb bag of Domino sugar is now 4-lbs, they cut huge scoops out of bars of soap because they claim we're no longer smart enough to remember how to hold a full bar - all with no price decreases. And NOW - wingless chicken??

Personally, I would address this with the meat dept manager or the gm of the store. Good luck.

For $5.00 bucks I get a large moist succulent perfectly cooked rotisserie chicken from Costco, and it still has its wings!

Ditto here. For what a whole chicken costs (sings or not) I can get the cooked one at Costco and its way better than anything I can cook. And no messy kitchen either.
