Redsea Max 130d - Complaint
TEMPE, ARIZONA -- I bought a brand new Redsea Max 130D. I was super excited to set it up on the first day I got it. After a few hours of being setup I realized a pump was not functioning properly, so I disassembled the portion with the pumps, troubleshot on my own using the manual. Got it all running to what I thought was smoothly again. A few hours later I had the same issue only now both pumps were having the same issue and were spitting carbon all over my tank. I tinkered with the pumps for days trying to get them right. Finally I had enough and contacted MarineandReef.com. First they wanted to try and troubleshoot with me. I passed. I had read the manual thru and thru. This was not an issue I needed to recheck with someone reading a script. I requested my money back and would gladly returned the product. I was informed I had two options: A)contact manufacturer for new pumps B)They would take item back and refund me 50%. I did not want new pumps as I felt the pumps were below my standards as these tanks are to be some of the best on the market. The company had fought me tooth and nail on this. They refuse to refund my money because the item is now used. (how else would I know it was defective if I never opened and used the product). Stay away from MarineandReef.com as well as their parent company Vasca Aquarium and Supply (they also own: Aquarium-Supply. biz, AquariumPart.com and PondandFountain.com)
