DirectTV - It Is A Fabulous Service
I fully understand the complaint against DirectTV Sunday ticket, as mine was in the reverse...I have had it since inception, and, I always have to get it turned on...This year they had a sale, and I was assured that I was signed on to it...However, I wasn't... Upon talking to a supervisor, not only was I signed on, but, I got it free...
I wrote this letter before, but my cat stepped on it in the last second, so, I will be much more brief this time. DirectTV is fabulous...Just plain fabulous ...I should know, I have been with them since 1990 when they were Primestar...I live in a motorhome about eight months a year, and own a summer home in Minnesota...Before that, they were in both of my homes, starting In Maryland...At one time I had 3 accounts with them, I now only have two, a home based one, and the mobile, or motorhome one...On the mobile one I travel this country and can pick it up anywhere, just rotate the satellite .
Everyone has problems with a company. My only one with DirectTV is having them keep my summer account turned off for more than 6 months, a policy that they instituted 3 years ago. It involves time and supervisors, but, 99.44% of you have less than no worry with that.
Never, not once, in my 23 years with them have I not been able to resolve a problem...I, if I We're that complainant, would go seriously to the top of the chain to get that resolved. I cannot even imagine how lousy that would be, or, what the complication was, other than they did not know that they had it.
However, a bill would state such, so, do not be scared away...Their HD lineup is amazing, tons of movie channels...We have HD up north, not in our coach yet...The regular channel Lineup is all that I want, but, watch out if you are thinking satellite . A law passed, a long
time ago, (I was with them before it passed ), states that local channels have to be fed to you And you do pay for that...In my case, Brainerd, Minnesota has no local channels so I get news
From Minneapolis and Alexandria. That is my "land line up there". For those of you who are thinking of doing what we do, traveling most of the year, it is possible, when applying through DirectTV to get both the east and west coast feeds of the affiliate stations.
I do not know Dish TV, so I can say nothing for, or against it, however, probably more than anyone in this country, and because of my unique situation, I can talk for DirectTV...I recommend them highly...Their people are great, from the lowest to the top. In 23 years I have maybe had say, 3 people who were crabby and worthless...And, considering that I need To talk to them at least four times a year....That is a high rating...Sincerely, Carlotta Tutor
