Sears - Vacuum Parts Price Ripoff
Kenmore Intuition - Complaint
I purchased the Kenmore Intuition Vacuum from Sears on sale for $200.00. It is probably the best vacuum I have owned and is highly rated by Consumer Reports. The best feature is you don't have to change the belt because there is none. This is a low maintenance machine. When you want to vacuum the carpet on the stairs you simply attach the brush to the wand that attaches to a cheap plastic piece at the end of the hose. After repeated use the cheap plastic piece broke. You cannot replace just this piece, you have to buy an entire new hose.
The cost from Sears is $80.00 plus $16.00 for shipping. This is almost half of what I paid for the entire vacuum. Sears is gouging the customer for this cheap replacement part.
Did a Google search and found the exact hose replacement part on Ebay for a whopping $20.00 bucks. Sorry Sears you're not going to gouge me.
