Volkswagen - Jetta, Don't Bother Purchasing One

STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK -- I purchased my Jetta in July of 2012, and the I will never buy another Volkswagen again. The dealer lie to me about its features and options and then after I signed the paperwork, they tell me the car doesn't have what they told me it did. You have to manually turn on the headlights, the gas mileage sucks, there are no dashboard features that I was told were there, the car has no power, I put my foot on the gas and it barely moves. I would never buy another Volkswagen again. The dealer and the manufacturer are a bunch of rip off artists and liars.
I have contacted Volkswagen and they give me a robo customer service person instead of someone in charge. They ruined my new car puchasing experience from the first minute. I wish I had my trade in back, it was better than the piece of crap, they sold me.

The questions here are numerous. Wherever you bought this, was there not a Jetta there to demo? Is the reason the features are different because it is a different trim? Did you get a booklet that informs you of the features of each trim?
You say the car "has no power". Again, did you test drive one with the same powertrain before deciding to buy? I always do that. As jktshff1 suggested, maybe you bought a diesel. This would explain possibly both your complaint about power and the instrumentation. VW diesels historically aren't as fancy as the gas models, and their power/torque curves are totally different than a gas engine. There is no way I would buy a diesel without driving it first. I tried once, and didn't like it.
