OAK CREEK, WISCONSIN -- We ordered a very expensive tree expecting quality and got a faulty tree that looked nothing like the advertisement. Half of the lights worked and the tree was shaped like a banana. The customer service kept putting me off until the season was over then quit answering their phone. I pleaded with them for 2 years. They kept passing me off to someone else and never once offered any help. This is a very dishonest company. I paid over $1500. for a tree that could not be used in any way. I finally threw it away after I realized that I had been scammed by this dishonest Internet company.

With respect, this seems to be just one of the issues with buying over the internet. $1500 is a lot of money to throw out. Hopefully you bought your replacement locally where you could see what you were getting.

Tree Classics went bankrupt and the name was sold to a new company about a year ago. The new company did not inherit the liabilities of the old one, so your beef is with the company that went bankrupt. The new company wants no part of supporting the previous products AFAIK.

Personally, I think it was crazy of the new company to keep the name, with so many angry customers of the old one around.
