AVON, MASSACHUSETTS -- Beware, in 2007 we spent $2000.00 for a Genuine Leather Sectional Chaise couch with ottoman. After 5 years we noticed the couch was peeling apart and particles of the leather couch were found on the floor, it got worse and the whole couch is falling apart.
We were told it is 100% genuine leather all around by the Jordans sales team, what a scam, found out this couch is all Bicast Leather, a cheap chemically formed leather look-a-like polyethylene compound, horrible shape now. We treated this couch with Mothers and Lexol leather conditioners for years, but we were not treating real leather at all, just plastic. We got scammed by Jordans Furniture. By the way this was made in China as most of Jordans products are made now they buy. Buyer beware, do your homework. This couch probably cost Jordans $ 300.00 wholesale from a distributor off the dock !!!
Do you have anything in writing that states it is real leather? The problem is memories fade and what one person remembers can be something completely different from another person.
If you do have it in writing, you have something to fight with. If you don't, well...
Try selling it for what you can get out of it and just take the extra precautions necessary when replacing it with what you'd like.
Best of luck.

Furniture stores use all sorts of tricky catch phrases. I was suckered in by "leather everywhere you sit" - which basically means only the seat was leather and the back, arms, and sides were not. It's been so long you're probably out of luck on that one but I'd surely make sure everyone heard about it.

This is too bad because Jordans is one of the really good furniture stores. Have you talked to the store?
