Motel 6 - Renting Room This Moment TV Just Quit Working

Complaint

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA -- It is about 11:00 pm, this is the second time I have stayed here and for the most, no complaints. But, my TV just quit and the only thing the office offered was to move me. I am traveling alone, it is cold outside, I'm tired and that wasn't an option. But, I am still paying full price or even offered another TV. I hate to complain but I feel they cared less if my TV was fixed.

Thank you,

When you're ready to check out, you should see if you can get some kind of discount for the TV not being available for you during your stay. It may be only a few dollars, but it's something.

They're not going to have a television repairman on staff -- especially this late and on an holiday weekend no less. If they offered to move you, that is fair enough. If you decided not to move, than that is a fair decision, but you shouldn't expect anything further.

Best of luck.

Spare televisions are not always at hand, much less someone to change out a defective one. Motel 6 has no way of telling when a tv will fail. There was an offer to change rooms, which you turned down. It seems as though they did what they could.

Offering to move you was what I would expect. I would not expect them to provide a tv, for the simple reason that if they did, that tv would be subject to theft (I'm not suggesting you would take it). tvs are typically bolted down at Motel 6.

If no other rooms with tvs were available, then the offer to move you to another motel was appropriate. Failing your acceptance of that offer, they should have apologized and given you at least a 25 percent discount. IMHO.
