Best Buy - Poor Service and Used Product Sold as New
Speakers and Receiver - Complaint
VERO BEACH, FLORIDA -- It has been a while since I purchased any electronics from Best Buy as it seems like every time I did there was a problem. Well it has not changed. First went into store after Christmas. ( lacking in enough help knowing that it is a busy shopping day. Typical for this store )They carted up the wrong speakers and I did not notice until after I paid. Purchasing front and center speakers. Don't they know that you typically do not mix speaker brands. Waited soooo long for help and help was short spoken. Stood at service / returns fro another long period, and then purchased the write speakers. I got them myself!! Non of the sound boards worked or could not be managed by saleperson. Buy speakers, but you cannot hear them. Later went back to purchase a new receiver. Wanted the Yamaha, they have not had since before Christmas, wanted the next higher price Yamaha, they have not had since before Christmas. All they had was the most expensive Yamaha. Did not want to spend that much. Asked the salesperson to discuss an alternative receiver. He had no knowledge and was simply reading the labels. Decided to buy the Harmon Kardon. Got home and the receiver is no good and it turns out the box was opened and retaped with nice clear tape.
After a total of six hours, I repacked all the equipment and will be heading back to Best Buy to return all of it and will never, never shop there again. Always check prices as small companies these days will often match pricing of big box stores and typically have much better salespeople.
