Burger King - Dirty French Fries

LYNN, MASSACHUSETTS -- The Boston Street Burger King in Lynn MA does not change their grease in a timely manner. The fries do not come out a golden brown but a burnt yellow, furthermore, why do they throw salt on the french fries, why not put salt shakers where people can put their own salt on. Elderly people in particular must watch salt intake and Burger King does not help matters any, they always overdo.

You make an interesting suggestion, however I have never heard of a fast food chain putting out salt shakers. There are various reasons I can think of that this would be problematic.
My guess would be that fast food is generally not a good choice for the average senior citizen, though I can also see why they would want to frequent a FF joint. Low cost food, comfortable relaxed seating.
As to the oil, this is a way some places intentionally cut corners. I would address this with the manager, and see if they make a pledge to improve their practices.

When you deep fry food you need to salt it right away or the salt won't stick very well. The salt that is added to the french fries is the probably the least of the salt you find in fast food. Anyone with sodium issues should avoid fast food in general. Ask for your fries unsalted if you don't want the salt. Then they should be fresher :)

Always ask for french fries without "SALT". They will then make up a fresh batch for you, minus the salt. I learned this from a My3cents member quite some time ago, and it does work.

skye, i always order french fries with no salt. locally, my mcd's and bk both have salt and pepper shakers on the table where i go.
