MINNESOTA -- I recently bought what I thought was US made 882 Elkstalkers only to find out they are made in China. Vinyl uppers, not leather as advertised. Size not US size. as I tried on a pair locally, they fit fine it seems Chinese folk have smaller feet. Boot lace not long enough. You would think they would at least get that right. What's up with this Redwing?

I recently bought a pair of work shoes from Redwing. They are leather uppers, but they are also made in China. One of the reasons I bought Redwings was to avoid Chinese junk and buy American, since the company I used to buy from, Weinbrenner, moved their production from Wisconsin to China and their quality is no longer there. I guess Redwing is going downhill as well. These were not inexpensive shoes. Already the laces are falling apart. Redwing better wake up and realize, if they are going to sell their shoes as premium work shoes, to the people they market to, the American worker, they had better build those shoes in the USA or they won't be around much longer.
