OXFORD, MICHIGAN -- I ordered a Double Whopper at the Oxford, MI store on Dec.30,2012..First, I was overcome by the menu selection boards when I pulled up, didn''t know which one the speaker was next to...found the speaker, ordered, and as I drove by the first window there were milk crates blocking it, I guess to indicate to customers not to stop there..there was also a large bag of onions hanging on a hook, and all in all, made me feel I was ordering from a warehouse instead of a restaurant. I got my burger, and the bun was dried out..bad..and the tomatoe slices and lettuce were soggy and warm, certainly not a $6.00 burger whatsoever..this is not the first time..I had the same experience with their chicken sandwhiches..the food doesn't taste bad, but there is certainly room for improvement..steam the buns, buy fresh ones, or something..it's terrible. There doesn't seem to be any TLC in the environment or the product ....just slap it together and get rid of you seems to be their motive...it's a shame..also, the sign out front can hardly be seen if you are comming from the south until you are right upon it..you are missing a lot of business because of these reasons..I hope I have given you some insight on what I would do to improve your franchise. Thank You for listening...Sincerely, Denise Knowlton

Stale buns reminds me of a date I had a few months back, but I digress.

Your suggestion that the establishment appears more like a warehouse than a restaurant is fairly consistent with my view of fast food joints.

Some years back, I decided to "upgrade" my usual BK order by paying $3/50+ for a burger. It was horrible - I have not repeated that error. Since then I buy only the $1 burger, no drink and usually no fries. Just something to tide me over until I can get to real food.

My old standard in the days before computers etc., was a whopper with heavy mayo...and they were great. Tasted good, the burger had fire grilled flavor because it actually was grilled on fire, and the buns they used were not bad at all - never had that manky stale taste. Today, I wouldn't go anywhere near one of those places. Technologically they must've went back to the stoneage. Carrion is about the only way I can descrube their hamburgers...and they cost 3 times as much as they used to. Go figure.
