A Heads Up about CVS's cvs.com Online Web Store

WOONSOCKET, RHODE ISLAND -- Once CVS has your email address (for example if you sign up for ExraCare or other CVS programs and give them your email address) then you will get discount offers from CVS's cvs.com online shopping web site.

The discounts are attractive including, for example, offers of 40% off CVS brand products and free shipping.

My experience is that you may never see your order as it might never ship, or if it does ship you can expect to wait more than two weeks for delivery by which time, if you live in a cold climate like I do, the liquids in your order may well have frozen and split their containers, ruining the entire contents of your shipment. I'm not sure why it takes forever for this company to get their orders shipped, but that has been by experience.

If you're trying to find out where your order went to or get a credit for ruined products, good luck with that. When you call the toll-free number for cvs.com customer support you will easily wait 20 or more minutes (no exaggeration) before anyone comes on the line.

Unlike every other online store in the world, cvs.com does not provide online tracking of your shipment. You are forced to endure an insufferable wait-on-hold for a CVS.com representative if you're simply trying to find our where your order is. Since even the smallest mom & pop web stores provide online tracking of shipments it is beyond human comprehension why cvs.com can't manage to do this.

If you have a low tolerance for incompetence and poor service, you'd best avoid being tempted by the cvs.com discount offers.
